Her methodology is grounded in the primary need to be heard and understood without judgement--respect for others and self.

Vickers' cultural heritage weaves ancestry from the United Kingdom, Ts'msyen and Heiltsuk nations.  She belongs to the Eagle clan from the village of Gitxaala, British Columbia and carries two feast hall names from her village and from the Nuxalk in Bella Coola, British Columbia.  She continues her studies of spiritual transformation, healing trauma, awakening, forgiveness and unearthing layers to find the authentic self.

I am following my son's journey as he travels across the country in First Nations communities. He works with the youth to encourage them to share their soul through music and, through mikwchiyam.com, multiple arts disciplines. He just completed workshops in Bella Colla and supported the the youth in the writing of a track called the Highway. I just discovered your dissertation on the Power of Transformation. I shared some of your thoughts with a family from Chisasibi who are in Montreal to be with their mother who went to be with the Lord yesterday. Eleanor was a product of the residential schools and parts of your dissertation have provided me, a christian, with a valuable perspective. Megweetch for your work.
